During my senior year of high school, my mom asked if I had ever considered a gap and I immediately turned down the idea. That was the end of the conversation. Fast forward to my sophomore year of college, when I went out on a limb and signed up for an EF Ultimate Break trip—I was traveling Europe at 19 with a group of strangers, what could wrong?
Nothing went wrong and everything went right. To say it was the best month of my entire is a complete understatement. On my third day in London, I was literally inches away from Prince William, you know, the future king of England? Travel has helped me leap out of my comfort zone (and even a plane when I faced my fear of heights by skydiving). Some of my favorite travel has included scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, zip lining through Costa Rica’s rainforest, and making ravioli from scratch in Italy.
