Spend a month abroad living and learning in Spain!

Experience authentic cultural immersion while completing three weeks of language classes at EF’s International Language Campus in Barcelona; enjoy weekends to explore on your own. Embark on excursions to Spain’s cities such as Madrid, Seville, and Granada with your cohort. Return home confident in your Spanish skills, savvy in your travel prowess, and bonded with new friends for life.

Spain 29 Days

Madrid: Intro to Spanish Culture, History & Politics

3 Days Madrid, Spain

Your journey begins in Spain’s capital city, Madrid, where you’ll get a crash course in Spanish history, architecture, art, and cuisine. Get acquainted with your cohort, practice speaking Spanish, and spend time together before starting your classes.

Barcelona: Settling In

2 Weeks Barcelona, Spain

Settle in and start your Spanish language immersion experience: enjoy a guided tour of the city to get your bearings, move into the student accommodations, and take a language placement test—then it's time to begin your courses at the EF Barcelona campus.

Valencia & Alicante: Coastal Views & Local Foods

2 days Valencia & Alicante, Spain

After two weeks of language class, practice your skills over a long weekend traveling in Valencia and Alicante. Take a cooking class in Valencia to learn how to make paella in its home city, then wander the streets of coastal Alicante and appreciate the architecture, history, and stunning views.

Barcelona: Living Like a Local

1 week Barcelona, Spain

Return to Barcelona after your weekend away to continue your courses and see how much your Spanish has improved after just three weeks! Celebrate your progress with a graduation ceremony.

Southern Spain: Architecture, Beaches & Farewells

4 days Sevilla & Malaga, Spain

During your last week of the program, practice your newfound Spanish skills as you travel to the southern cities of Seville and Malaga. Wrap up your experience reflecting on all you’ve learned and enjoy a final farewell dinner with your cohort.

Program fee

Tuition for this 4-week program is $7,900, and payment plans are available. A detailed budgeting guide for this program can be found here.

Your program fee includes:

  • Flights & transportation

    Round-trip flights and on-the-ground transportation for all your travel.

  • Accommodations & meals

    All housing included, all breakfasts included, and some dinners included during the travel components of the program.

  • Activities & workshops

    Language school tuition included, as well as excursions and travel throughout Spain.

  • EF global support network

    One-on-one mentorship and 24/7 travel support before, during, and after your program.

  • Guided learning

    Program leadership and direction by your EF Student Life Coordinator, EF Language Campus Staff, and an EF Tour Director during your travels throughout the country.
