Immerse yourself in Spanish culture while exploring Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, and Malaga—the later is home to EF’s sunny beachside campus, where you’ll complete three weeks of expertly-led language classes. On your days off, take a group trip to Seville, the largest city in southern Spain, then enjoy a free weekend to plan your own adventure.

Start your program by spending a few days in Madrid, Spain’s political and cultural capital, seeing the sights and bonding with your cohort.

Malaga: Language Learning

13 days Malaga, Spain

Begin your Spanish language immersion experience as you settle into beautiful Malaga. Take a language placement test and begin your courses at the city's EF campus; settle into your accommodations with your new friends. Get a feel for the geography of Malaga, try their public transit, and visit the beach!

Keep attending your courses at the EF Campus as you become more comfortable with the language and culture of Spain. Spend your free time exploring your new city, getting to know your cohort and Malaga on a deeper level.

Make this your year

Taking a gap year is not an alternative to college; it’s about preparing yourself to make the most of college—and, in many ways, the rest of your life. Our innovative experiential learning model helps students discover their goals while equipping them with the confidence and skills to get there.

Program fee

Tuition for this 4-week program is $6,950, and payment plans are available. Tuition includes:

  • Activities and workshops

    Guided excursions and hands-on workshops with local experts

  • Flights and transportation

    Round-trip flights and local transfers to each stop in your itinerary

  • Room and board

    Housing at the EF Residence during your time at the EF Campus in Malaga, hotels during your travels in other parts of Spain, and approximately half your meals are covered

  • Guided learning

    Program leadership and direction by your on-the-ground EF Student Life Coordinator, the EF Language Campus staff, and EF Tour Director

  • Language school tuition

    Your classes at the EF Language Campus in Malaga

  • EF Global Support Network

    One-on-one mentorship and travel support before and during your program
