Our gap year programs are designed with EF’s travel-based learning philosophy, G²PA, which develops growth mindset, global perspective, and personal development while focusing on action and impact. Through your EF Gap Year program, you’ll develop better habits, time management skills, and independence by navigating the world on your own. Pricing for our programs vary per itinerary:

You can pay in full upon enrollment, or you can select a payment plan to pay for your program in the months leading up to departure.

Scholarships & Fellowships
EF Gap Year awards up merit-based scholarships and fellowships to qualified students enrolled on a gap program to help offset the cost of the program. These scholarships and fellowships are highly competitive; typically, early enrollment helps students have the time necessary to complete everything that is required for application by the associated deadlines. These fundraising opportunities include:
Global Citizens Scholarship
Awarded to students who show great enthusiasm, aptitude, and commitment for learning and growing in a global community.
Digital Media Fellowship
Recipients of the Digital Media Fellowship are natural storytellers. As an EF Gap Year Fellow, you will share your experiences during the time you are abroad via various online and social media platforms.
