Homestay

Ideal for: Students who are seeking culturally and linguistically immersive experiences abroad with the structure and support of their host
Accommodation type: Shared room in the home of a local host (often an individual living in a small city apartment)
Commute: 30–60min. to EF’s International Language Campus
Meals included: Breakfast daily, dinner on weekends
Outcome: Authentic and culturally immersive living experience

Residence

Ideal for: Students seeking a community-based, dorm-adjacent, and social living experience
Accommodation type: Shared or single room in international student residence (dormitory-style)
Commute: 20–50min. to EF’s International Language Campus
Meals included: None, meal plans may be available for purchase
Outcome: Community-based, dorm-adjacent experience
